7 Manifestations of the Anointing

The concept of the anointing has puzzled many. A truthful fact is, If you’re anointed, You would know it! The anointing can be defined as the measure that allows God to take utmost control over you, the amount that you allow Him to work or “channel” in you and through you. I had a few people say they could smell the anointing on someone. Well in my opinion, if that is true, then I bet it smells terrific.

There are 7 Manifestations of the anointing that fall over the life of the anointed. Now, it is important to acknowledge that the anointing only rests on someone who is filled with the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, the anointing does not exist.

“And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;” – Isaiah 11:2 (KJV)

Let us stir the boat into the topic 7 Manifestations of the Anointing to uncover its seven mysteries in the word of God:

The 7 Manifestations of the Anointing

1. The Anointing Manifest The Gospel.

The first manifestation is the power to testify and to be a witness. In other words, a spirit of Wisdom and understanding is obtained, and all of a sudden you want to start spreading the Gospel and talk about Jesus. He came, He Died, He rose again, and He’s coming back! — The Gospel, His perfect love story.

But ye shall receive power, after when the Holy Spirit comes upon you: You shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and all in Judaea, and in Samaria and to the uttermost part of the earth.” — Acts 1:8 (KJV).

Suddenly, You have “superpowers” you have obtained the wisdom required to do the works that Jesus Christ has done. Suddenly, You believe in Him and the works that He has done. Because you have been enlightened by His anointing. All of a sudden you realize what He has done, and you can do that also.

‘Verily, verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth unto me, the works that I do, shall he do also; even greater things shall he do as I go on to my Father.” — John 14:12 (KJV)

In Hebrew, the word for Hebrew the word for “Witness” and “testimonies” is “Edot” (עֵדְוֹת). However, it does not relate to a courtroom witness concept. It relates to the concept of being the evidence. In other words, You are the reason the world would say things like for example “God is God” or “Jesus is Alive”. So being the evidence, you have been granted the power of the Gospel. Not only to testify about it, but to Act it out. This is what the anointing is all about. It is about the “More of Him, Less of You” concept. Doing more of His works rather than your own.

2. The Anointing Manifests a Hunger for the Word of God.

When a man is hungry, what does he do? He eats, it’s that simple. Because God wants your undivided attention, he creates a longing for you.

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me, draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.48 I am that bread of life.” — Isaiah 11:44 to 48 (KJV)

The above-mentioned scripture clearly indicates that no one comes to the Son, Jesus, unless they are drawn to Him by His Father. In other words, the Spirit of God needs to draw you to Him. This is evident then that the anointing, as previously defined, creates and manifests a “hunger” for the word of God. So you will be constantly in your Bible, obtaining more knowledge of God.

Jesus describes Himself as the bread of Life. Bread is something to eat. Now, this may sound a little quirky. However, it does not mean ordering a slice of Jesus toast with a little butter on it. No! It means engaging in the essence of who He is and getting to know Him more.

John portrays Jesus as the word of God. However, in delving deep into my studies, I have found that this is very literal. Jesus is in fact not only the Son of God, but also His spoken word. Now, if I was to elaborate on that topic, I would be extending this article to the extreme. So for your sake, my beloved reader, I would say this is a word for another article. But I will back my statement with the following scriptural references:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. —John 1:1” (KJV)

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” — John 1:14 (KJV)

I always have this saying to those who I commute with, “In the beginning, the word and the word was with God and the Word was God, then the word then became flesh and then it became a book that you are supposed to read.” – What I try to portray in this is that, to hear what He has to say about things in your life, you need to go read what He has already written for you in the Bible.

Visualize this: if you sent me an email complaining about your problems. I already have a website, and you’ve got the link, with the solution to your problems. Do you expect me to reply? Will a reply be necessary?

The same concept applies, we pray and ask Him so much when He has already given the answers. We just need to read and “eat.”

3. The Anointing Manifests Healing.

The third and fourth manifestations happen simultaneously, manifesting healing and deliverance in you and enabling you to do the same to others.

4. The Anointing Manifests Deliverance.

Healing and deliverance are automatically manifesting in your life, the more you allow the anointing to enter into your life. But the more you receive the more you must give.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, — Luke 4:11 (KJV)

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.— Mathew 10:8. (KJV)

This is also an obligation that was placed on those who receive the anointing. As an anointed one you are basically forced, in love, to bring healing and deliverance. The gifts have been given to you, now you must give to others. This glorifies God in every aspect, because the more lives He can touch through you, the more lives can be touched.

Luke 4:11, basically already sums manifestations one to four. But I want to go in a little deeper. The Bible is filled with scriptures of healing and deliverance for the anointed you, manifesting through the anointing. Below are a few examples and I do believe it is enough said on this topic.

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed”.— Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)

“The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all” —Psalm 34:19 (KJV)

5. The Anointing Manifests the prophetic and allows you to walk in it.

Now we revert back to the “superpower” correlation I made previously. The anointing manifests the prophetic gifts of the Spirit and are added to you, as an anointed one as The Holy Spirit determines.

7 The Holy Spirit is given to each of us in a special way. That is for the good of all. 8 To some people the Spirit gives a message of wisdom. To others, the same Spirit gives a message of knowledge. 9 To others the same Spirit gives faith. To others that one Spirit gives gifts of healing. 10 To others he gives the power to do miracles. To others, he gives the ability to prophesy. To others, he gives the ability to tell the spirits apart. To others he gives the ability to speak in different kinds of languages they had not known before. And to still others he gives the ability to explain what was said in those languages. 11 All the gifts are produced by one and the same Spirit. He gives gifts to each person, just as he decides.” —1 Corinthians 7-10

People will ask your advice, and you will give them advice that you, as an individual have never thought of before. It will be a moment of “What did I just say that?” You will also receive this sense of just knowing something out of the blue. For example, Your spouse took $100 from your wallet without asking. You will open up your wallet and realize it is gone and just know it was them. Or when someone lies to you, you can distinguish the lie from the truth instantly.

Miracles upon miracles, millions of tiny little miracles will just follow you. Not necessarily in your life, but also in those whose lives you touch. It just happens naturally. If I should add an example: You just went to a doctor and your bill is $1000, But you are low on cash. All of a sudden someone comes along and decides to pay for it and disappears.

– Hey, don’t get me wrong it’s just an example, I’m not saying millions of bills will all of a sudden get paid. I was just stressing the fact that miracles do happen in the life of the anointed.

“Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.” —1 Corinthians 14:1 (KJV)

“And the Spirit of the Lord will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee” —1 Samuel 10:6-7

When you are a carrier of the Holy Spirit, you are anointed, therefore the Spirit of Prophecy has already taken hold of you. Therefore, it is important to prophesy, uttering what God has to say. But this is a very dangerous game, as many proclaim “Thus saith the Lord” when the Lord has not said it. I think you, my beloved reader, will find it obvious that if God has said something or anything at all, it would come out of His word. His very own word, for how does one speak without using your word, when you can not be seen?

But now for the mind-blowing scriptures that every prophet misses. The grand finale places it all about prophecy in order:

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” —1 Corinthians 13:1-2

“ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” —Revelations 19:10

Now that would be a hard pill to swallow if you are a false prophet, prophesying nothing but doom, You have no love in you. Therefore your prophecies end and it becomes nothing but hateful, deceiving, corrupt, witchcraft words. Nothing even to do with God. Every anointed person requires to manifest and minister in love. For God is Love.

The other hard pill to swallow is the “prophet” that does so-called readings and fortune telling that are not written in the word. Read Revelations 19:10 again, For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. So if it is not out of Him, so if it is not out of the word, you are a snake and your anointing is fraudulent.

6. The Anointing Manifests a heart of worship in your life.

This is my favorite manifestation. The more you witness and testify about what He has done for you, and the more you allow the anointing to enter your life. The more you want to sing of His goodness.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”— Colossians 3:17 (KJV)

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” — Ephesians 5:18-20 (KJV)

7. The Anointing Manifests Abundance and Prosperity in your life.

Because you have Him, You have everything, you lack nothing, you just need to declare it into your life. The world and the devil may want to steal, kill, and destroy you. But in Him, you have life in abundance. When the Spirit of God is inside of you, taking possession of you, no one can remove you from this promise and manifestation of prosperity,

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” —John 10:10 (KJV)

When you have the Anointing over your life, everything that you work on, will prosper. There’s a legend where a man had a golden hand and everything he touched turned into gold. This legend kind of has many truths in it when it comes to the carrier of the anointing. Everything you do will prosper.

“And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.” —Deuteronomy 30:9-10 (KJV)

In conclusion, the manifestations of the Anointing, enrich the lives of the Anointed. However, it also has the very same impact on the lives of the people they come in contact with. Like A ripple effect or electric current, that is the anointing. A fountain that springs up and never runs dry. Just as Jesus has promised. May this promise fill your life, as you start your journey of opening up to the anointing.

“Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” —John 4:13-14
