Making Slime Without Borax or Contact Solution:

Now, moving on to the most important part.. ‘how to make the slime without using borax or contact solution?

First of all, you will need to get a medium-size bowl and pour the glue in it. Next, you will add the water slowly while you mix it in with the glue. Don’t add too much water at once because you will not get a homogeneous solution. Also, don’t use more water than glue (these quantities should be equal) because you might get a runny slime.

If you are choosing to use food coloring, you can add it to your water and glue mix. Add only two or three drops of food coloring at first to see what shade you end up with. You can always add more if you want a more intense tint. Be careful when you do this as you might stain the skin of your hands if you don’t use gloves.

Next, you will go to the shaving cream. Add some shaving cream as you keep mixing the slime you have in the bowl. The shaving cream will give it a fluffy consistency. You can add as much shaving cream as you want. It depends on how fluffy you want your final slime to be. Your goal should be to end up with a result close to the consistency of a marshmallow.

As a final optional step, you might want to consider adding some laundry detergent. This detergent will thicken the slime a little, so you end up with the best texture. Sprinkle a spoon of laundry detergent in the mix you have and see how it changes its consistency. Add more as you feel it is needed.

You can now knead the slime like you would knead any other type of dough. Use your hands to fuss the slime as you want and play with it for hours!

If you decide to increase the quantity of shampoo, make sure you do the same for the shaving cream.

Mix the shampoo and shaving cream in the bowl until they blend in together perfectly. This shouldn’t take more than one or two minutes.

For this recipe, you will need to add one tablespoon of salt to your mix as well. Add it in the bowl after you blend the shampoo and shaving cream enough. Mix again until the salt is lost in the consistency of the slime. You don’t need to add any water or liquid to this recipe.
